The were a relatively popular upgrade 30+ years ago when there was no aftermrket, but considering whats needed to make these work on a windsor block(custom domed pistons to get decent CR, and a unique intake manifold) it's probably cheaper to buy aftermarket heads made specifically for the windsor family and use a stock shortblock and intake.
That ad says, "Large valve diameter : 2.3/4"Exhaust, 1.3/4" Inlet"
That's incorrect, I believe they are 2-1/4" intake, 1-3/4" exhaust. The heads do appear to be four barrel heads which have HUGE intake ports, too big for most practical purposes. But hey, if some is good, more is better, right?
Once upon a time 4V Cleveland heads were desireable and expensive.
For information on these heads on Windsor engines, search for "Clevor" engine.
I bought some aluminum GT40 heads from the Ford dealership. When Igot them home the paperwork that came in the box said to romove the valves and clean them and re-oil them before using them. Thats when I noticed that one intake runner had a huge hole going into the water jacket and one exhaust runner had a big piece of casting flash still in it. I returned them for a full refund and told the guy that was bull. I spent a little more $ and got the Edelbrocks W/1.90 intakes. The quality was the difference between night and day. That 5.0 runs like a champ.
