I thinking of installing a 3'' body lift in my truck. I have
a 1999, F-150, V8,5.4L my question is what is the biggest tire I
can put on with the 3'' body lift?
what size wheels do you have? with a 4 inch suspension lift i've seen 35x12.50x15 and 315/70/16 tires fit with no problems. so with a 3 inch body lift probably 33x12.50s, maybe 34's if your lucky. if you have the money go with a suspension lift, it will look much better and you will actually gain some performance aspects from the modification other than just wheel well clearance.
I have 265/75/R16 wheels at this time. I want to put on some
305 or 315/75/R16 is it possible with a 3''body liftor do need to add
something a spindle in the front end of the truck? Thank You
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Nov-02 AT 01:00 AM (EST)]if you have a 4x4 with a 3 inch body you will beable to fit 33x12.5's with no problem and plenty of room for articulation. my friend has 35's on his and i think he has his torsions cranked up a little with the body lift and they fit pretty good. with a 4x2 285/75/R16 (33x11.5) will fit ok on 15x8 wheels with the body lift. 33x12.5 if you get the 2 inch spacers in the front along with addaleafs or blocks in the back.
