All of a sudden my cruise control just stopped working. I checked the fuses under the dash and none are blown. When I try to set it, the "cruise" dash light flashes but won't stay on and the cruise control won't engage. Anyone have any ideas as to the problem?
See if there is fluid in the cruise control line that connects to the brake fluid resevoir. Have you had the recall done? If not, your truck could catch on fire. Call the dealer with your VIN and see if you need the recall.

I had the recall work done on this a while ago and this issue is far after that recall. There was a little bit of brake fluid in the connector at the resevoir but I cleaned it out and it still doesn't work. Any other ideas?
Its probably that deactivation switch especially if it is leaking. You should have 12v going in and out of the switch with the brakes not applied. If it loses the 12v at any time it will deactivate the cruise servo. It is actually a redundant circuit to the brake lamp switch, which has 12v to the servo any time the brake is applied, opposite of the deactivation switch.
I'm watching your thread. Maybe somebody can post a photo of those things to check.
Its just Tooooo cold for me to go out and work on mine right now.
I save the answers to use for a poop sheet when it warms up enough for me.
I'd like some photos though.
I have a few kits in my toolbox.. pay shipping and you can have one..
That would be great. I can't imagine shipping costing that much for that little part....but what's going to keep my truck from doing the same thing again

The new switch is a completely different design. Nothing will guarantee you something else wont go wrong later. You can always sell your truck and walk and I promise your body will break eventually...
Not to repeat the repeated but there was a second recall of this i belive. I personaly have just unhooked mine entirely. But if you haven't recalled the recall that could be yout problem.
