How do you install a Superchips?
My bro just bought a used superchips for 50 bucks. It is supposed to be programmed for 85 horses in an automatic. Bro's truck is a manual, so he cant use it untill he pays someone to reprogram it, so he gave it to me for the weekend to play with.
Dont laugh: Where do I plug it in?

Look just above where your right leg would be when u hit the gas pedal...there is a lil port right there on the bottom of the dash. Plug it in there. If it doesnt turn on check you cigarette lighter fuse
It's a little, tiny gold chip. I think you guys are all refering to the OBD2 port, aren't you? The plug on the back of the gold chip is longer than the OBD2 port. I assume it plugs somewhere else.
No. This is a little plug in and leave "chip", not a tuner.

that "chip" goes on the PCM - it's down by your left foot as your driving - it's the truck's "brain" ..

I wouldn't even bother with that chip.......seriously. I had one installed on my truck when I first bought it. I had a Superchip micro max tuner from my old truck, that I installed later on. The plug in style like you got, is hardly even noticeable that there's a chip in the truck. I doubt it's very good for it either! $50 bucks is still fitty bucks, that's definitely a deal, but you won't be happy with it........
It has to be burnt to your trucks calibration code or it won't work right or possibly do damage. Don't just put it in. It's got to be reburnt. The best place for it is in the trash. I've had one of those. pos. Lots of contact issues with mine....shuts the truck down at the worst time. The best mod to an old superchip invovles an anvil and a hammer
