blower motor help

06 expedition fan works fine in 1 and 2 but in the high speed it makes a nasty noise. I thought maybe the resisstor but I found where the resistor is bypassed in the high speed modes. Maybe the blower motor is shot. Any Ideas how to get to it? I know its under the dash but dont know where to begin. Thanks

The noise is being caused by the blower motor or the fan blades that attach to the motor shaft are broken/bent. In either case you will have to remove the blower motor and inspect it.
