Weiand action plus manifold
This means that if the Weiand does, I may as well just buy the manifold because the Summit kits come with their own gaskets, which have the opening for the crossover, which would allow the bottom of the manifold to get hot and burn any oil that gets on it. If it doesn't have the crossover, then we're good and I can get the package. (I wouldn't have to buy gaskets separately.)
The way to fix the problem is to get a manifold gasket set and cut the center portion of the belly pan out so that it slips under the edge of the heads and just set it in place. THEN put the manifold on with the gasket set. I don't even use the end seals any more. I put a bead of black RTV along the ends and then set the manifold in place.
In fact the Edelbrock instructions tells you to cut the belly pan as I described. At least their instructions as of about 10 years ago did.
