Great question since I too will be purchasing tires in a couple of weeks. FWIW I have been researching tires now for about 10 months and have considered many different brands and I always come back to the Toyo M/T in the stock 275/70R18. From all the info I've gathered from Google searches, this site, and a host of other truck sites I don't think I've read 6 bad remarks about them. Of the few bad remarks I read their was usually some kind of operator error or wrong tire for the application (examples include towing really heavy with less than E rated tires and wondering why the truck wanders).

I also considered the 275/70R18 Goodyear Wrangler ProGrade, 275/70R18 Toyo A/T, BFG AT 305/65R18, and the Toyo M/T in 285/75R18. I ruled out the Bigger Toyo M/T because the 9mpg's I'm getting now are as low as I care to go and a 35'' tire will certaintly decrease mileage. The Toyo A/T seems decent but appears to wear quickly (quicker than the M/T). As for the BFG's I read too much negative about them. For every 1 comment of praise I would read 3 negative ones. These included poor traction, lousy balancing, tread chunking, and noise as the tire wears.

In the end it came down to the Goodyear ProGrade or Toyo M/T. I hear decent things about the ProGrade but from a strictly looks standpoint I like the Toyo's. The 275/70R18 Goodyears are oulined white lettered which I hate (as are the Toyo A/T and BFG) but I suppose I could mount the letters inside. For snow traction I'll also give the Goodyear's the edge. Hope this helps.

On the Buckstop site there are a couple of different red trucks so check out the different bumper style pic's for the 08. However, the maroon superduty may have larger than stock tires.
