I finished installing the 4" O.D. pipe and clamps. The pipe fit very tite into the filter but was a little loose into the intake hose(1/8"). Are ya'll confident that the band clamp will tighten down enough around the intake to seal off any gap? It sure is tite now, but I wonder about wrinkling.
Thanks,
Lusty
If it is connected to the stock inlet tube it will seal without wrinkling. If you can't pull it apart you're good to go. You can also rough up the end of the pipe with some medium grit sandpaper for a better grip.
I used a high quality silicon to be sure mine was sealed, that way I KNOW she's breathing clean air ( it also helps make sure it dont come off.

I am not what you would call a expert, but could you go to a muffler shop and have them strech the end where it would be larger and make up for the difference, or would that just not work. I know that they can strech pipe but that large and that short I am not sure.
I thought about flaring the end at a muffler shop, thats where I got the 4" pipe. I didnot think about the silicone. A high heat silicone would be a great idea and help secure it fron rattling loose too. And you wouldnt see it like the electrical tape.
Thanks,
Lusty
