The more I look around on the internet the less my options are for lifting my X. I have really only found a few lift kits that will fit. Is this common or am I looking in the wrong places.
The crapy thing is that I just purchased new tires. I didnt go big but I got the next step up. I think they are the 275's. I would love to do a fabtech 5-6 inch lift, but I dont think the tires will look right. They may even be unstable. Dont know what the cost id for that kit, but it looks sweet.
I have seen some posts on here about the 3.5 lift. Does this give any real difference than stock.
For the people that have lift kits can you post some pics please. Also if you dont mind me asking what some costs are for the lift kits.
I just bought an '03 with 6" Pro Comp lift (#K4018B) about 3 months ago. It was just too tall for me (especially my better half). So I pulled the lift and went with a 3" Superlift which is nice. I've only had it for a month now, but it seems to be a decent lift for the price. If you are interested, I have the parts for the Pro Comp lift that I would let go for cheap.
Just checked the pro comp site. I have the diesel 7.3. The site shows for 2wd and 4wd excursions. Farther down it shows where the diesel application will fit onto the 250/350 but no mention of the excursion. Is there any sense to that or no.
let me make a call and see.
If you can send me a private message with a price and I will get back to you.
I also have the 3" super lift, and really love it. It is a good bit over stock, I drag a 5 gallon bucket under the truck now to do oil changes and it still has plenty of clearance.
It did not cost me to much either, got it on sale from 4wheel parts for like 750, and then added some extra goodies in.
I have a Skyjacker 6" and have several tire & wheel combos. I am very happy with it and I drive the mountain roads in Western NC and either I am so accustom to its height or it really isnt that unstable. I have never thought I was going to roll the truck in 160K miles.
Has any of you encountered any driveshaft vibration after the lift was installed.i want to run 315 75r 16 tires and want to keep the lift to a minimum and dont want to deal with driveline problems
