While removing my turbo I couldn't figure out how to realease the EBPV linkage from the turbo pedastel. Of course I came to FTE for help. It was so simple once I new what needed to be done.
This is the sliding clip that holds the valve actuating rod to the back pressure valve tang. Clip is on the underside of the flat end of rod. It is under and at the back of the turbo and cannot be seen without a mirror. Simply slide it back and let the rod drop down or push it down and off the pin. I used needle nose vice grips to slide the clip back.
