a great place

I just wanted to comment on FTE being a great place, I posted in the Arizona Forum about losing my best friend and companion Jake, my 2 year old boxer on Sunday. the response I got from a lot of people was a testimony to the caring in general of the people here. My heart is still empty, and will be for a long time.
i just wanted to say Thank you all for your support.
Bart

Glad that you were able to find some comfort in our words, Bart.

We all have lost a four-legged buddy at one time or another,,, So, we all know exactly what you are feeling.

Bart, sorry to hear about your loss.

I know how you feel.

I've lost pets, and at times, still think about them.

I feel your pain as weel. My 12 y/o daughter lost ger cat, dog and pony within 5 days. It is a torment the likes of which many dont understand. I still hear they were just animals get over it. We considered them our family. We cried, and ys still mourn. I chose to have an artist make a painting of the four (her pet guinea pig of 5 years just passed) waiting on the far side of the Rainbow bridge. The following poem is on a small plaque on the frame. I will give it to her for Christmas. I am sorry for your loss.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
