I'm,
__rather still green around here.
So, I have Q:
How long did it take one of you recent
(past 1st yr. or more.) senior forum peeps
to get used to all these threads to choose from?
It's plain overwelming, to say the least.

i bounce around alot. but for the most part i stick to just 3 forums. pick the ones that you are interested in most. sometimes when i get done catching up on the ones i like, i check out the others. its really a matter of picking which ones to look at first.
I like to go to the forums tab at the top of the page. Then I select the "New Posts" from the drop down menu. From there I get to wander through all that is happening.
Like Ben said, I stick to pretty much what I know about and like, but I do bounce, I hit the Super Duty/Excursion, have both of those and know enough about them, but I usually loiter/malinger the 61-66 and 73-79 mostly since they make up the majority of my fleet. I am usually out of precious broadcast time before I want to go though!
1500 threads? I think you mean 1500 pages of 25 threads each. That's over 36,600 threads with almost 300,000 posts combined (average 8.2 posts per thread)
The only ones with more are 87-96 trucks (50,500/337,000)(6.67 posts per thread) and 99-03 7.3l Powerstroke Diesel (43,500/?470,000) (10.8 posts per thread)
I just poke around for something that is of interest on the 73-79 Forum, then if anything else I would like to learn about any other ones, I'll browse there too
