Hello folks. I'm new to the FTE site and I'm reading and learning as much as I can digest. I appreciate all the great info on new and older Ford trucks.
I don't own a Ford truck, but I'm planning to buy a 2017 diesel F-350 early in 2017. My brain is about to explode with the amazing information that is available on this site.
Thanks!
David

Another new member here. I had a 1968 F-250 4X4 back in the 80s and was so impressed with it's nastiness, I bought a used 95 F150 when the need came up.
It's a 2WD short bed with the I6/M5 combo. Just use it to go the dump and the lumber/supply yard as needed. Bought via eBay in 2001 from Houston TX. (!!)

Hey everybody. Been lurking for about a year and finally decided to pull the trigger and join. I have a 2015 gas F-250 FX4 and the DW drives a 2013 F-150 with ecoboost, both are Super Crews. Long story short, we got a TT and the tow didn't feel as comfortable with the F-150 as we wanted, so we traded our SUV for the Super Duty and haven't regretted it once.
Hello From Fort Walton Beach
Hey All,
Just sold my second F150 to buy my New one. Had a horror story at the dealer! but.... I'll get my truck Wednesday. It was the worst dealer experience ever. They tried to switch vehicles after a deal was reached.
2016 F150 XLT, Supercab,3.5EB, Max tow, 3.55El RR,
It's a daily driver / work truck.
Pulled lots of good info over the years and thought maybe I could share some with my new truck ordeal.
NOTE: Dealer CAN NOT change 23 Gallon system for 36 gallon system and flash the computer- CANT be done on the 2016 F150!! After reading how this could NOT be done on this and other Internet places I informed them of this and they told me I didn't know what I was talking about. After they installed the 36 Gal tank and pump they found no way to flash update the internal PC. Hmm! Thanks guys for keeping me better informed than the dealer.

Error codes - Fuel Rail/System pressure too high bank 1
I've had this truck now for 2 years. I've owned many other Frods diesels and never had any problems before.
2010 6.4L
The dam truck died while driving 2 weeks and my mechanic after having it towed told me my oil has failed? Seemed like a huge stretch to me but after 40 miles my error code came back on again telling me the same thing as before.
Took it back he said he adjusted it and now today after another 100 mikes it back on again with restricted power again.
I live in Baja and this is killing me. I do not trust the ford dealer here.
Help
PS: I also get maybe 10 mpg? all of my other fords got 16-18 mpg at 80 on the freeway 20 plus at 65mph

New Member/New 2016 F150/RUST ISSUES
Hi All,
Love my new 2016 F150 Truck. Got a punch in the stomach yesterday when I noticed some significant rust.
I have just a little over 300 miles on my beautiful CrewCab. Was looking at adding some rear wheel well covers and was shocked to find what I did underneath.
Rust along the entire . Rust spots in the frame on both sides. I've purchased over a dozen cars new and used. My very first car was a 1974 Bronco (man I regret selling that one). Recently I had a couple Tacomas and was so excited to be back in a Ford after an extensive search. I'm in Oregon where we get a lot of rain, but summers are dry and we don't salt the roads. I've never had this much rust on a new vehicle even within 5 years of purchase.
I've read some of the posts, but it's simply unacceptable to me that FORD would be selling vehicles with this much rust. It's not going to do me any good 10 years down the road if I have an aluminum body but the frame is rusted out.
I bought from a great dealer but they're quite a way from my home as the local shop gave me the run around during the purchase process.
What's my recourse? I shouldn't have to do a thing in my opinion to treat or prevent visible rust in a vehicle that has less than 400 miles on it and over $40K.
Would love some suggestions on the next move. I want the issue taken care of. Did I get a lemon?
THANKS for any and all suggestions
