Hey everyone, I've been a long time Ford truck owner, but just bought a 1979 F150 SB 4X4 that I'm going to restore to original condition. I'm hoping to use all the previous experience here on the site to help me out.
Thanks in advance to all the people who have already posted lots of great info here to help out others.

Newbie building a 50 Ford Snubnose COE F500...
Hi All,
I'm just starting/planning a project that will put a 50 Ford Snubnose COE F500 (?) Body on a late model diesel rollback wrecker chassis. This won't be a little pickup, it will be 5 tons or better, in the up to 26,000 lb weight class. I'll be doing complete body and interior work, and whatever fitting is necessary to the later model truck frame and engine. If there is space behind the body, I'll make a motorcycle platform there.
I'm interested in finding the correct forum to go to for info from members who have done this type of madness, what later model diesels/chassis, etc... works the best for dropping on the old body, etc... (doesn't have to be a Ford Chassis or engine.) I want to try to avoid some of the mistakes others have encountered with these projects.
I sincerely appreciate any info you have to share.
Thanks for having this cool forum!
Keep the Shiny Side Up!
Happy New Year 2016!

Hello all.. Mike here in MD.... been lurking here on and off for a couple of years... I have an 04 350 with 182k plus miles...all stock sitting with the top end removed on my way down to the egr cooler. Looking forward to continuing to learn from the wonderful folks here and hopefully be able to add my 2 cents occasionally. Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year's
Hello fellas my name is Carlos Deleon I'm from a small town right outside of Houston. I have 78 f250 4x4 supercab that my pop and I rebuilt from the ground up. We spent around 10k on body work and come to find out a few years later he bondoed and half assed the whole job after we specifically told him to cut all the rust and weld new metal. The truck has been sitting for a while now the drip rails are rusted completely through. I understand that's an almost impossible place to prevent rust but if I can prevent it for 20 or 30 years until I die I'd be pretty damn happy. Basically if anyone can help me find a donor truck or cab I'd appreciate it very much. Oh and it was my dads first truck he bought it brand new and I want to keep it going
Hello everyone! I am the proud new owner of an 09 F250 5.4 gasser. I just picked her up about 2 weeks ago and have loved every minute! She has a leveling kit, sitting on 35 Nittos with 20 inch Moto Metal wheels, dual Flowmaster exhaust, X Metal grill, and a cold air intake. Bought her with 41,852 miles. I am sure I will be picking your brains on what to do next. I do know I am getting the pocket style fender flares (painted) first! Any thoughts on what brand? I know Bushwacker is the best but have you heard of RDJ Fender Flares? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to getting to know you all.
THANKS FOR THE WELCOME! 76 F250 Super Cab owner here.

My instrument cluster discenegrated! I found the site by looking for a wiring diagram for my 76 F250 super cab dash. I just got it running again after a 5 year dormancy in the driveway. Yeh, I love my 460, at idle it'll pull a house down. And at 8 mpg, uphill, downhill, being pushed, pulled, headwind, tailwind, A/C on or off, at least its predictable.
