NEW MEMBER Introduction Thread (NO TECH QUESTIONS)
Hi all,
I just bought my dream truck and had it shipped across country, only to immediately run into issues with getting it running! I'm the proud and frustrated new owner of a beautiful (from 20 feet) 1948 F1 with the 226 flathead, and at some point a three on the tree installed (backwards). I've spent many hours browsing threads already and expect to do many more so, there's a ton of good information and good people in here!

Loooong-time lurker. I've learned a lot by reading on here, and many times I thought about commenting, so now I've decided to join. I've been driving Ford trucks since I bought a new 1977 gasser. I've also had an '88 gasser, a '90 diesel, an '02 diesel, and now a '22 SCLB 7.3 4x4 with 4.30 gears. I use it for the usual homeowner hauling but mostly for our slide-in camper. Looking forward to contributing where I can.
Here I am, finally
I’m new here and thought I migh5 go in ahead and tell y’all a little bit about me. I live in Los Angeles, California, where **** is really *** backwards right now. Yes I am a girl, but more man than most men in la… where have all the men gone? I mean the men who knew how to do manly things, you know like fix a bike or a truck. Because men here in cali seem to be more concerned with not breaking a nail, I’ve had to assume the position, not that position weirdo, lol! I mean fixing my own ****…. Been doing it for 5 years now,,,, so I’ve done motor mounts and trans mount on mercedes cl500, brakes on bmw, mercedes, dodge, ford, Honda, Harley. Plugs and wires and coiks on mercedes, dodge. I’ve rebuilt steering gear box on fird van all successfully… I totally fubared rebuild on dodge differential, lol…
Doesn’t mean I don’t like dressing all sexy, dancing, partying, and the other things girls like to do that I can’t write about here.
look forward to hearing from y’all

Hey y'all new to this forum but not to Fords. So far I've owned a 95 Ranger a 2013 F-150 with the 5.0 engine and now a 2018 with the 2.7 engine. I am now in search of a 3/4 ton truck, probably a gasser and probably a Ford. I am not one of those guys that absolutely needs to own a Ford but a always seem to gravitate towards them. I probably won't make a purchase until the spring or summer of 2023 as I am not in an immediate need for one and I want to see what happens with the used truck market.
I've been lurking around the 73-79 forums trying to get info. My son and I are starting a restore/upgrade on a 75 F150 Supercab with the 460. This is going to be his first vehicle when we finish it and I want to make it as awesome as possible for the kid. This site is great because when I was a kid to ask these questions you had to go to the parts store and HOPE that someone was there who would answer your question and knew what they were talking about.

Hello all! Proud new owner of a 1999 F250 SuperDuty with the 6.8L V10 engine. I was told this truck came up from Texas 2 years ago, and wasn't driven during the winter, and I believe him as there is almost no rust on it! I bought this truck about a week ago and I am loving everything about it, except when I need to stop at the pump But you can buy a lot of gas for the price of a new truck, and with it being older and easier to work on, I can do whatever I want with it. Hehe
My dad had a '99 F250 with the 7.3L turbo diesel when I was growing up, and now has a '99 F250 with the same 6.8l V10, plus some sweet upgrades to it, so its a taste of home to drive this every day. I cannot wait to see the oceans of information here for a support base, and hopefully save some coin and time doing the work to it! Thanks everyone!

Hi all,
I joined sometime ago when I got my first econoline but today I finally bought my first ford truck. It's a 1985 F150 4x4 with a 351 in it. The clock says it has 33k miles on but I bet it flipped at least a couple times already. The carb needs tuning, starter motor has seen it's better days and its all beat up. I might start a new thread on it cause it's probably gonna need some work and your help will be much appreciated!
So there she is
