74 f100,4x4 project

Picked this thing up the other day as a little project to keep me busy. ITs a 74 f100 4x4, its got a dead 360, 4spd and a dana 21 xcas.I found a running 390 out of a 1tun with 55k on it for 200 bucks, that should be going in this week.

Its been a while since i replied, been busy with the truck. Frame is perfect, body is perfect no rust anywhere, tail gate is trash, and small dent on the driver side bed next to the taillight. And yes the grill is off a 78/79. I figure it was a good deal for $500. i got rid of the flat 42's and found some 38's i think they look better. I swapped a 390 in it, got it running, just need to order a set of headers and finish exhaust, put the new rear axle seals in and she should be good to go. On the old motor it had a 4 barrel intake manifold and edelbrock 650 carb that i will be swapping over soon. I have no idea how much lift it has but its a little to much for me, the body lift is coming off first, that should be about right.

Autozone? Kragens? Parts houses typically have wheel cylinders for less than $20 each. Or you can try ebay, rockauto.com, etc etc.

I am going to be looking at a 74 F100 4x4 here this week,
what steering set up does yours have,
I was told they have the power assist and I hate that set up,
thanks for posting, you have got me excited about this again..Rick (Salt-Man)

i am not sure on the proper terminology, its power steering, via a P/S pump and a steering box. It works great even with the 37 inch tires, have not had a problem yet.

I am going to pick up a dana 60 out of an 80s f250, aside from changing the spring purches what else will be necessary for the install?
