So my transplanted 390 must have had prior head gasket issues before i got it, it appears the po had dumped some of that instant head gasket sealer in it. Well shes not got a head gasket leak, i pulled one of the heads and it looks like it was leaking at the water jacket at #1. If i take the heads off and have them machined if necessary, put some new gaskets on do you think that will take care of the problem? obviously if there is no cracks anywhere?

put a straight edge on the block and make sure you didn't warp the deck or anything bad like that you might want to get the heads machined a little more to bring up compression

got this as a parts truck. Have not maid up my mind if i am going to swap parts or swap frames. Its a 75 f250. With what appears so far to be a good running 360, it fired right up. Not sure on the drive train yet, the transfer case does not want to stay in 4h, it stays in all other gears tho. I was also excited it came with the original owners manual.

it's a little easier when you got a forklift to help ya out. Its also nice when your buddy owns the junk yard and hauls the crap away for me. I decided to just swap body's due to the fact i wanted the np205, and leaf springs up front. Tired of the coil springs. I am going to run the 360 that's in it and build the 390 out of the f100. Or if i can find a 460 c6 combo ill do that.

Got this from my friends junk yard, 78 f150 lariat trailer special, 351M. Going to grab some parts off it, somebody beat me to the tilt cruse wheel though. Everything else is there though.<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v645/mercilessantics/?action=view&current=1215091307.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/mercilessantics/1215091307.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v645/mercilessantics/?action=view&current=1215091317.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/mercilessantics/1215091317.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Ya, it is still sitting there. Coil springs, radius arm drop brackets, idler arm drop bracket, and some huge leafs for the rear.

If you weren't so far away I would go after that lift. I can only imagine what the shipping would be. The truck is coming along really nice man!
