06 PowerStroke Diesel Injector Problem
Hope someone might be able to help....
I got a 2005 Ford F250 SuperDuty with the 6.0 Powerstroke in it.
When I recentrly bought the truck the diesel filters hadnt been changed currently at 35`000 miles.
After a few days of picking it up the vehicle lost power and slowed to a crawl even on full throttle.
After investigation we found the fuel filters had broken down and sent bits throughout the system, we changed filters and cleaned fuel lines.
Restarted it ok, 10 miles down the road it lost power again untill it couldnt even pull itself along.
So we changed the Fuel Pump.... On inspection the original one was thick with gunge.
This then ran ok for another day, and yet again the truck developed a misfire that renders the truck undriveable. arrrrrrrh
I can only assume its the injectors now. Maybe one maybe 2?
Has anyone expericened this before and whats the quickest & cheapest fix? As my Ford dealer is talking silly money for replacments. Is there aftermarket injectors that are better priced? Can anyone sonic clean them?????
Any suggestions would be welcome.....
What codes does it pull? That should let you know which injectors have an issue.
As for aftermarket sticks there are a few out there but you're going to need some tuning to go with them.
