That's a possibility as the remote key-fob is gone, if it was so equipped.
The interval seems about the same as the alarm on my '94 and my Cherokee.

No I haven't.
Haven't really tried yet.
I have a Gun/Gunsmith shop and the Obama election has got me running like crazy. Everybody wants their guns bought and/or running right and a stockpile of ammo. In the fear that the Democrats are going to try to limit them again.
I'm just getting home from work right now. Don't feel sorry for me though I took a couple of hours and went deer hunting this afternoon.
You have to have your priorities straight in life! LOL

I figured I'd post the problem and see what everybody's ideas are first. I've gotten some good ones too!+

DISCLAIMER!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm NOT trying to get a political discussion going here!
Just trying to explain that I'm not just being LAZY!

Sure, that is what they all say.

LMAO

I have always heard that any excuse was better than none.

LMAO now ROF till sides hurt.

You guys sure make my day a lot more fun.
I get a good laugh at something or other almost every night.

Even if I have to pick on the Dodge Dude to find something funny.

More than once I have thought about stepping down as moderator when things get hectic, then I come in here and wonder why I was thinking that.

Hey my "disclaimer" WORKED!

You must be laughing at the part about me NOT being LAZY, right.

It could be worse, you could be the Powerstroke moderator. Those guys are a lot MORE SERIOUS over there. Not BAD, just serious. I've been over there a bit since I got my Powerstroke and they don't have ANYWHERE NEAR as much fun!

Now the SooperDoody site; SOME of those guys are on the verge of nuts. I hope it's a long time before I get a good enough buy on one of them or an Excursion so I won't have to ask as many questions. I'll do my learnin' on these older trucks first.

You hit the nail on the head with that one.

I know the super/heavy duty forum is usually more the gasser domain, and have had some gas/diesel skirmishes there way back when.

The Stroke forums, well all I can say is they are there because of the IDI engine.
Most of them don't even know that.

I even give the IDI credit for the Dodge/Cummins and GM/Duramax.
Once Ford installed the IDI, both Dodge and GM had to either get in the game or go home empty handed.

Since they both got in the game, look where all of the trucks have gone from that simple IDI/Ford combination back in 83.

I am still proud of the original power house diesel in the light truck market, that is why I am here.

UPDATE

I am going to eventually sell this truck so I robbed the A-pillar gauge pod and gauges out for my '94.

The PO had the gauge power and lighting powered through the keyless entry/alarm wiring fuse (piggy-back spade deal).
After removing it the "clicking" went away.

After getting all of the bugs out of the IDI (HOPEFULLY!) I just can't see myself keeping the PS.
The only advantage it really had was that it has started EVERYTIME since I've owned it. The problem with that is: when the time comes and it DOESN'T start it might be something I can't fix myself.
The only thing I couldn't fix on my own on my IDI was the A/C and it wasn't very expensive.

I like the PS OK but as soon as I get a $2000 repair bill I might get P!$$#D!
