I used to explain the whole worth and value concept to all the import fellas that used to buy parts from me. They never understood and I just thought it was just because they were young. Amazing how much they want for these trucks!

The first posting expired, but the 2nd looks like a lot of $ for an almost 8 year old truck. My kid bought a '67 Bronco and "invested" over $45,000 in it. AFter a few months and less that 1,000 miles, money got tight and he had to sell it. It took him 7 months and he sold it for $18,000. It's not hard to put more $ into it than you can ever hope to get out.

If I ever put that much cash into a vehicle, it wouldnt be going anywhere.

45 grand is alot of land payments for me, could upgrade my dump truck, could upgrade and buy a newer used backhoe... Man I could go on and on!

He lost his job. Now he's losing his house. He was in title insurance (real estate) and lives in Vegas, the worst RE market in the county. He did make some bonehead decisions, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
