K&N filter?
What do you guys think of the K&N Filters? I just discovered tonight mine has one. I have never been a fan of reusable filters because when you clean them it is nearly impossible to get all the crud out, and the crude usually gets worked into it even further. So just curious what you guys thought. Thanks

JUNK, unless you like letting dirt into your motor. Here's a pic of my SD right after I bought it- it had a stock airbox w/K&N drop in filter.

That's about what I think of them too. What re-replaceable filter do you guys recommend. I usually run Napa Gold filters in all my other rigs. At least my intake tube seemed fairly clean still.

napa part number 6637 and dump the stock air box

on mine i used an pcv 45* piece, if you can find a 4 inch dia. 45* piece of exhaust tubing is preferred

What he said. And if you want a snazzy pre-filter there is a member here that makes them- send an email to filtercovers@gmail.com. He's got a lot of different color and graphic options- looks nice and extends the life of the filter.

Fleet filter is the way to go, order 2 at a time to save on shipping.

If getting wet wasn't an issue, I'd try to rig one up on my snowmobile just to see what kind of looks I would get.
