Howdy, I am looking for some good mud tires. I want minimal road noise, wearing, and maximum traction on/off road(mud). I want something like the BFG Mud Terrains, but something maby more aggressive, same price while proving a smooth ride on the road. I have a 95 bronco, and will hopefully be recieving a 3inch body lift in the near future.
Thanks,
Gary

do you still have the winch for sale? e-mail me at cajunbuck(No Email Addresses In Posts!) and let me know so that we might work a deal. later
p.s. what is the pulling weight on it?
BFG mud terrains are great tires, I swear by them. The Swampers are better in the mud, but they won't be as quiet or last as long on-road as the BFG. So if mud performance is your first priority, go with the Swampers, but if your mostly on-road I'd stick with the BFG mudders. I run 35's and they haven't let me down yet. Pro-comps are real similar but at a lower choice...just an option.
Have you run the BFG Muds in the snow?? I need snow and off road traction with gret road manners

Yea, they do pretty well in the snow. 'Course, I am running 35s which help. I had some Wild Countries some time ago and they were worthless in the snow...the BFGs self clean much, much better. Again, I suppose the Swampers would do better in the snow because they are more aggresive, but personally I don't think they can touch the BFG for road manners, which I think are superb.
I wouldnt call Wild Countrys worthless in snow. I had 33/12.50s on my 4x4 last winter before I swithched to 35" BFGs. With a Western plow on front, I made it up my granfather's 40 degree incline driveway in 8" on heavy wet snow on the first attemp. I was impressed. They just kept diggin until they hit solid ground and up I went.
Well, the old Wild Countries on my rig sucked in the snow. However, I did see a set of WCs on a truck the other day that were different than the tread that I had on my set, these in fact looked better. Maybe we had diffrent experiences due to different tread design? I had really like my WCs till I had it in the snow, but now I stick with the BFGs. Sounds like you do just fine with yours. 'Course, I was in mud so deep the other day I couldn't even open my doors, and the BFGs still pulled me through (yes, its a 4x4)...don't think too many tires would be up to that job!
I think the problem is that there is about 5 different tread versions of the WC RVT Radials. My old 33s had the same pattern as theBGF M/Ts, and I loved them. Although the sidewalls kinda sucked when air down to 15lbs. The only reason I swithched was a buddy of mine worked for a tire shop and got me a good deal on the BFGs ($400 for the set. Someone ordered them and backed out.)
I've seen the other tread designs and can understand why they would suck on anyting but dry pavement.
