This might sound strange to some but here in Murphy NC there isn't much choice of parts houses. My light has a sylvania how high a watt replacement can I use before it would get to hot in the housing? I assume these were stock lights and from what I can tell it is rated 42watt. Can't find anything like that around here,
The stock bulbs are a pain to find. Get some 9005's and call it great. They have the same plug and the same socket. I have SilverStars in mine and absolutely love them. I believe they are 55watts.
Thanks I didn't want to crack the lens. Has anyone replaced the clear with yellow lens?
I had to replace my housings a year or so back (water intrusion) and from the looks of it, the lens part is not replaceable. I think you would have better luck purchasing a whole new housing (non-oem).
I had forgot about that place, everything seemed to expensive
I normally drive to murphy for parts
I normally have best luck at the parts store down town
I also like advance better than the rest of the chains
