headers..and exaust

headers..and exaust

so do you think that if i put new headers on my 7.3 from stans and cut off the muffler that it will still be quiet enough to legally drive?

Only if you dont stomp on the pedal- mine is through a 4 inch see through muffler, and normal driving is OK sound wise, but if you tromp on it or are pulling a heavy load its pretty loud.

I don't know what your emissions stuff is like in Oregon. Or how strict the cops are out there. The cops here could care less about exhaust. But I have mine straight piped into a single stack(don't laugh, it came like that and I don't have the cash to fix it now). Its pretty loud at WOT, but other than that it sounds pretty dang good. My only problem is the noise in the cab when the windows are down.
