The further north you get the earlier it's in the pumps.
Here in WV, I've had several nights of 31 degree weather...I'm already plugging mine in and have switched over to the DK in the white bottle.

I was wondering the same thing. My milage has taken a 1+ mile per gallon hit on the last two tankfulls. I asked the woman at the station here in New York where I always buy my fuel and she said she never heard of winter fuel, but she will check.

Depending where you are in NY you are seeing winter fuel. The farther north you are in the state the sooner the switch is made.
In the adirondaks it is winter fuel now, down around Syracuse it should be hitting the retailers now. In the southern tier it is dependant on how cold the nights are and from what I have seen they are getting winter grade now also.
Most of the time when the temps stay in the 20-30's at night and don't warm up during the day beyond 50-60's the switch is made for fear of the night temps going way low.
