Help Please... 460 Heads question
Hello all,
I just picked up a 460 to drop in my ol' pickup... It came out of a 74 LTD but it wasn't the original motor for that car. Anyway... block casting is D1VE which I've read is a good block and the heads are D0VE-C on the passenger side and DOVE-A on the drivers... What the hell? What difference if any between the two heads?

there should be no appreciable difference between these two castings.
C8VE/C9VE and D0VE are all considered to be equivalent.
I am running C9VE's on mine, but would swap in a D0VE if I needed to without worry..
