Dusty Road

I live on a gravel road and want to get the best filter (without cutting down on mpg) I remember there were posts awhile ago, but can't find them. Whats the word now? I believe there was a system that Ford was even selling now??

The AIS sold by ford is probly the best,it's what I run

My vote is for the 6637 great filter and is a cheaper alternative to the costly Ford AIS.

6637 is much less expensive, but for really dusty conditions the AIS is the way to go from what I understand.

x3. I love my AIS setup. I travel some dusty roads in the summer and the filter does wonders to keep the dirt out.

The AIS is similar to what we had in the 6.0s over in Iraq (if not the same). They handle MASSIVE amounts of dirt before they need changed. I wish I would've taken a pic of the one I took out to check -- when I turned it over, it looked like someone dumped a huge bottle of brown baby powder out. I was amazed. But, don't sell the 6637 short -- it will handle a lot of crap, too. And you can replace it twice as often as the AIS filter and still be slightly ahead (~$35 for the 6637, ~$80 I think for the AIS filter). Plus you have to buy the box the first time for $200+...
