I am going to put an -89 ZF-5 in my -91 truck. And now I have a cheap solid flywheel and clutch on hand. But it is listed for 94-97, which is for the powerstrokes. Will this set fit my set-up??

Another question; I have got 285-75-16 tires on it now. What would this be in inches? And how big tires is it possible to put on these rims?

 

About the tires: a 285/75R16 is roughly equivalent to a 33x10.50.

Do you still have the stock wheels on the truck?

A 285/75 is really too wide for a stock wheel, an 8-9" wide rim is recommended for them.

 

No, I don`t have the stock wheels on. But I am not sure about the size of the ones that are on it now. The reason I ask is that I wonder if 285-75-16 will be to small with a 4" lift.

33" tall tires fit on a stock truck, so with a 4" lift you'd probably want 35's.

 

I'm pretty sure the SMF system will work on your truck/motor/trans. combo but somebody will be on to say for sure.

 

Anybody who can confirm that the 94-97 SMF-clutch will work on my 89-91 set-up?
