I couldn't justify paying $600 for a Fabtech, so i built my own. I did have to take it to someone for the bending though. i coated it with the undercoating/bedcoating spray from Wally-mart. Time will tell how durable it is. I wanted a skid plate as well, but I never worked it in well so i skipped it.
The rear bumper was removed and tubing was fabricated back there so this matches nicely.
i'm not sure what other forum this fits in, so I posted it in our AZ chapter.
Thanks guys.
I didn't cap the ends, although I considered it. The rear bumper ends are not capped, so this matches.
the lights I had already. The 4 bends cost me $20. The main bar I cut and welded myself so it's not bent. i bought the tubing awhile back but I woould guess The 1 1/2" tubing was $40 for 15 feet and the 1" tubing was $20 for 15 feet. $5 can of coating. $5 for the light tabs. The mounts to the frame I made out of 1/4" plate I got free from a buddy.
It took me awhile, but I saved money.
I remember words my Dad said years ago, "My time is cheap, my money isn't."
Thanks guys.
