Scan tool
I am looking to buy a scan tool and would like to get the most for my money.
I have looked on ebay, there are a lot on there. Can anyone recommend a source or even one on ebay that will work on my 2005 Ford truck and my other vehicles.
Someone told me a while back that they bought an OBDII/with can for around $50 or $60. Harbor frieght has one but I don't know if it is reliable or not.
Help me out here guys.

I got mine off eBay for $50 shipped. link below is the seller. it's a no-name scanner, but it works
eBay Motors: Professional SUPER CAN OBD2 OBD II Code Scanner /Reader (item 310091158867 end time Oct-21-08 17:00:00 PDT)
make sure whatever you buy is CAN compliant. the 04+ Ford (all of them) are on the CAN system of OBD-II.
the unit I bought is:
compliant with all 5 protocols.
reads codes
take a "Live" snapshot of the engine operating parameters

We bought one of these for the shop last year.
