AE scan tool
Does anyone ever see a AE scan tool come up for sale used?
I need one but cant really afford a new one right now.
So if anyone is getting a new one and has there old one for sale , keep me in mind.
How good of a laptop do you need to go with it?
I thought I might look for one on Ebay and start gathering up what i need.

I have an old Toshiba that originally had windows 98. Now it has XP.. It only had something like 32ram, Now 128.. It is ancient. Runs AE ok.
I will have to look for that Dell. Was looking for something for in and out of the truck for one reason or other.

Check out Overstock-dot-com. They sell excellent electronics. Some of it is new, much of it is refurbished off-lease computers.
I paid $500 for a Dell Latitude with a 2 gig processor, 2 gig of memory, a 250 gig hard drive and a 2 year replacement warranty. Two years ago, when it was new, it sold for over $2K, so that was a good deal. It came with Vista (ugh!) but I put a spare licensed XP version on it. These specs will let it postpone obsolescence for a very long time.
By the time you buy a used computer, probably need to upgrade the memory, hard drive and OS, you will spend close to that, and on a very obsolete machine.
Just my thoughts.
You won't find AE there though. AE is on my priority list, for sure. My truck has 150K, so the scanner will be needed sooner than later, but $600 is just too much right now.

I agree but I got my AE from Clay, with the Enhanced Ford Bundle, for WELL UNDER $400. Give him a call

when my laptop was having issues I actually set up my desktop in the back seat... LOL So I guess that is a no... but you have to have some sort of computer to load it on. Laptop is the best...
