Hey everyone, another newb here! glad to be here ive been reading posts for awhile gathering info, tons of great info here its really gonna help me with my truck. I have a 63 flareside i got my my dad. I noticed a tag inside the drivers door frame that says something to th effect of "Property of U.S. Marines" and has a number under that. Anybody have something like this on there truck? Does it do anything to the value or is it just a conversation piece? thanks alot...........
Everything in my house has MARINE stamped on it. I'd be honored to have a truck with USMC on it, take it to a Marine base and I am sure you could a lot for it.!HA! Welcome to FTE!

are you my dad? hahahahaha my dads house is covered in stuff stamped with usmc or marines.... even flys the ega{eagle globe and anchor} under the red white and blue... and wants to have semper fi painted on the back of his 65 barracuda when he gets her painted... cause the thing is as faith-ful as a marine.... and refuses to die with out permision...
anyways... to the right guy or girl it might be worth something...
and maybe even to the average joe that wants to be patriotic.... but i dont think its going to be worth that much more
Tell your DAD SEMPER FI and hang in there, it is funny Billy, we did'nt want to wear anything with USMC on it while we were serving, but now everything we own now has it on it .
I make it a special point to visit local cemeteries in my travels.
I look first for Confederate dead, and plant our Flag on any graves I find.
Second, I look for any war memorial, and pay my respects while visiting the Bivouac of The Dead.
Third, I look for any special war heroes, especially those who gave all for our country, to give them especial honor and respect.
In this case, Lt O'Bannon is buried in City Cemetery, Frankfort, KY.
From Conway's "All the Worlds Fighting Ships" published by the Naval Institute Press....which I keep next to the 'puter...cuz one never knows what someone here might ask.
