pyrometer probe

pyrometer probe

does any body know where i can buy a pyrometer probe i bought mine from a yard sale with gauge for 10 bucks checked it with a heat gun the day i went to install it my son stepped on it trying to hand it to me and broke it can i buy just the probe? its a banks step up on a pillar w/boost, tranny temp, and exhaust all for ten bucks

I'm sure you can. I'd give autometer a call and see if they just sell the probes. I wish I was back home right now, because I'm pretty sure I might have one sitting in the box still when my gauge took a crap on me. Autometer just went ahead and sent me a whole new one.

Autometer would be your best bet to talk to, and FYI Autometer makes gauges for Gale Banks.

The only gauges I've ran are autometer.. I've had two of them take a dump on me. I'm not sure if autometer's quality is better than anyone else's, but what I do know there customer service it top-notch.

I agree with you Farm69, they have great customer service, what i meant to say is FordMan's pyro probe that broke is made by autometer.

They might make them now but the older banks gauges were make by Isspro.

But either way it doesn't matter as long as it's a type k thermo coupler

Just beware the K comes in different temp swings (min/max).
Also reaction time. (slower to faster).

thanks guys i 'll give autometer a call tomorrow it is an older gauge its like 5 years old though
