So i'll be buying a set of tires in the next week and i have a couple questions. Would a 33x12.5r16.5 fit on my truck with no lift kit? Any body have any recomendations on cheap A/T tires. O and i was also thinking about 285/75r16.5. Thanks in advance
If thats your truck in your avatar...those look like stock wheels and are 16's
285's are just shy of 33's and I think they are a bit skinnier than 12.5
every tire I have seen does not measure to what they say(99% are smaller)

i have the nitto terra grapplers 285/75/r16 and i like them alot. they were only $150 each mounted and balanced at a local shop. ron's right about the sizes. my brother's 36" were just a tad over 35". my tires are 32.75" by 11.5". do you have 16.5" rims? as ron said stockers are 16" and these tires cont interchange. if you have a stock lift, you may have to shim the front bumper out for turning clearance. good luck
I just put 4 Cooper Discoverer ATR 285/75 16's on my 97 F350. Makes a big change in the look of the truck and it rides like new. The picture is the old tires I have to take a new one.
i bought my truck with 33 12.50 16.5 mud terrains and they were rubbing in the front fender until i trim the corner.im looking for a set of street tires with load range "e".my 97 has blocks in the rear ,is this original?it also sits higher in the rear.
I have a set of Firstone Destination M/T's which are far from a/t's but they wear amazing, and are also load range e. If your lookin at inexpensive a/t's the general grabbers are the bang for the buck for sure MHO
