It seems the F-150 won the top honors of "Truck of Texas" and the Ford truck line won the "Truck Line of Texas". I am guessing that the Dodge won the "Full Size Pick Up Truck" award. It all seems confusing to me.
So how can the ram 1500 and the f150 both win truck of texas???? Just been checking and it does look like the ford won truck of texas and not the ram 1500 but it's funny that Mike Accavitti, Director, Dodge Marketing said "This is quite an honor"????? in the press release lol
It's no coincidence that the launch happened when it did. The TAWA awards are a Very Big Deal for Ford. Texas is the largest truck market in the world. The group traveled to Dearborn last year and we hosted them at the Ford Rouge Factory Tour. That's where Ford keeps its F150 awards showcase, by the way. Fittingly, the TAWA trophy is the biggest one.
Google "Texas Auto Writers Association" and you'll find the results. It'll make a lot more sense when you read the whole list.
Oh so any size truck could be truck of texas but it just happend to be the f150 and in the full size class the dodge won truck of texas but is the f150 not a full size. Dam im confussed.
