Ive got some stubborn screws that wont seem to come out. Any tips you can give on how to remove thises. There damaged so ill buy news ones i just dont want ot ruin what good metal is on the truck.
Are you talking about the small sheetmetal screws that hold the inner wheel well to the fender? Those can be a pain. Try prying under the screw head with a flat blade screw driver while trying to loosen them; this might help a thread catch and let you work it out. Otherwise you'll have to try and get behind the skirt and seeing what you can do from there. Worse comes to worse you could try drilling it out.
Put the philips head screwdriver in the slot, whop the butt end of the screwdriver with your claw hammer, this should break the rust loose, it has done for me in the past
Try a 3/8 inpact gun. The vibration often helps brake stubborn screws/bolts.
If stripped out use a dremel tool and grind in a new slot.
I found a product at SEARS that saved my butt. It is a liquid that is full of steel filings or something and maybe glue. I had a stripped screw, used this stuff and it really worked. I couldn't get a dremel into it to cut a new slot. I forgot the name but look around at Sears and i am sure it will pop up.
