99 2.5L Crankshaft Pulley Removal

In the process of replacing the timing belt and I need to remove the crankshaft pulley. I don't have an impact wrench but I do have a large breaking bar. What methods (or tools) will keep the crankshaft from turning while trying to loosen the bolt. I don't want to put a pipe wrench on the balancer.

Thanks!

Use a cheater on the breaker bar long enough to reach under the passenger side frame. Put the socket on the bolt, hold the cheater against the frame, and have a friend hit the starter. This does the trick 99.9% of the time.jd

Worked like a charm!

Now I just need to get the pulley/balancer off. Off to Autozone for a pulley puller.

Do most of you change the timing belt tensioner while you're in there? If so how do you change the tensioner spring?

Thanks.
