Check your owners manual it will state the intervals and what should be done. I had mine done at 30K.
You will also need to keep in mind your type of use and driving conditions, like water/mud vs hwy.

I just pull mine out about once a year and set in a coffee can half-full of ATF overnight.
Set them on a shop towel for a couple of hours and re-install.
They still work great.
But, who knows, maybe I'm running on borrowed time.....
