Need V8 for 1986 E-150 4x4

I need information about 1986 E-150 4x4 Van. Current setup is original transmission with a newer Fuel Injected V8 engine. The engine is bad now and I want to replace it. Does anyone know which transmissions came in these vehicles. Mine is an automatic driving original 4x4 configuration. I want to find a wrecked vehicle with about a 5.7L FI engine in it. What year vehicle can I use? Which engines will work with the transmission? How do I know which transmission I have? Does Ford still make engines for it? Any good/knowledgable salvage yards in my area?
Any and all information and suggestions welcome.

Need V8 for 1986 E-150 4x4

As far as i know, ford didnt run EFI in the 5.9's till '87. They did run the 5.0 EFI in '86 but that was the only one that year.....the 300 and the 351 were in '87. just find something post '87 and go from there...
