Steering Box?
can anyone tell me for sure if the pitman arm faces to the front on a 1979 f100 4x4. I have located a box from a member but now I have been told it will not work on a 1971 f100 4x4 as a conversion from manual to power steering.any help is appreciated.

Steering Box?
Don't know about the 100, but my 79-150 4x4 has the arm facing towards the front of the truck. Tie rod is mounted on the front side of the spindles with the drag link going from arm to passenger side. Hope this helps! Chuck P.

Thanks for the reply Chuck, that was exactly the information I was after.After I get the steering box from a FTE Member,I will ship it to Mesa Arizona for a rebuild and shaft reversal so it will work on my 71 F1004x4 as my arms are really pumped up from the manual box.Thanks again for the help.
