Hi, this might get confusing but i'll try to explain it in a simple matter, i'll tell you what i did. I have a 73 F100 4x4. It had the power assist steering, it was a pain in the a**. I know these are 2 different model vehicles but the steering sector is the same. I located a powered steering sector from a 79 4x4, but the way that the 79's have their sector located, we can't mount the box on our pickups in the same position, simply because on a 79 the pitman arm faces forward and on yours and mine the pitman arm faces backwards. So if you were to mount this box in the same place as your old box it would steer backwards. What i had to do is sent it off to get the gears reversed so i could mount it in the original position as my old box. This costed about $250. But well worth it. After this i had to mount the box. I had to drill all 3 new holes. The first 2 on top of each other on my pickup were inside the boxed frame. i had to cut a hole in the bottom of the frame to put the nut on in the inside. The other hole is easy. You will have to get you steering shaft shortened though. (the shaft that goes from the column to the sector). After this just hook up the lines to your pump and drive away. I know this probably got confusing but i did everything on my own to my pickup and i'm 15 years old. Hope i could help.
