It's Delivered.....
Good for you. Mine were delivered this past week too on 10-02 though one is still showing at the ramp even though I saw it on the dealer's back lot tonight. Can't figure that one out.
Unfortunately, they were delivered while I was already on my way to the outer banks for vacation so I didn't get a chance to take it fishin' on the beach. In fact I passed them Sat morning at the ramp on I95 where they come in for the NE/MidAtl-states area. Of course you couldn't see them in-between the other 2000 trucks on the tarmac.
My big decision is whether to take the dark highland green one or the island blue one. I guess I'll make up my mind on tuesday when I pick (1) of them up. :>) The green looked pretty good in the 630pm light, but I want to see it in the daylight tomorrow before I make up my mind.

Good luck and happy truckin'. I checked out the green one today in the sunlight and opted for the island blue instead. The green reminds me too much of our Philly Eagle's colors. Yuck!!!
They must've known though. The blue one was all cleaned up nice and pretty in the detailing room when I stopped today. I'll pick it up tomorrow. The trucks both came in together and the only thing screwed up was the interior seat color. I wanted the dark graphite but they got the medium instead by accident. I'll live with it.

Did you get the Lariat? I will see mine on Friday...It's up north and we're going up Friday.Having the dealer put in a bed liner. We had a problem with ours also, the Lariat sticker on the passsenger side was missing...Salesmen says it will be on by the time we get there on Friday....It'll be a nice ride back down I tell ya...
I picked it up today and it's the 1st time I got a truck that was actually CLEAN when it was delivered. Of course it was sitting in the rear of the showroom for a week, so that may have something to do with it. :>)

PS: Rivers,

It's also the same way with every other car company. Ford is no worse than anybody else in this way.

PS: Put a hundred miles on today shopping for a tonneau cover and misc accessories. Can say without a doubt that the truck does ride better than my Expedition. The only thing I have to get used to is the tighter steering of the F150 compared to my Expy. Also the 5.4L is slightly quieter compared to the Expy's 4.6L for some reason.
Tomorrow is coming...Have to drive 300 miles but can't wait to drive it back. Let me know how you make out with the cover. That'll be number one on the want list. Had them install a bed liner....
Generally when there's a hold on production, it's due to a shortage of a particular part that are used on all the vehicles of a certain model. When the Expeditions first came out there were numerous shortages of 17" wheels, running boards and 5.4L engines during the 1st 6 months of production.
The holds don't usually last long so they should still take your order anyway. At least they were good enough to tell you of the production woes. Most dealers wouldn't tell you anything.
