Yes to both is the short answer. It reads voltage return from the IPR and converts it to a pressure reading. There are several tests that are available for the injectors as well as several readings that can be monitered via live data. There is the injector buzz test that can locate an injector / wiring issue, this is done with the engine not running. Then there is a cylinder contribution test, done with the engine running at idle and must have EOT above certian number (150ish if I remember right but definitely don't quote me) The older AE 5.4 I think also converts tranny sensor voltage to temp for monitoring but the 6.x version pulled that conversion out and after emailing them they say they are not going to put that back in. I went back to the 5.4 version myself... There is also the ability to monitor Cylinder contribution for each cylinder via live data. Essentially you can identify a weak cylinder / injector which lets you know where the "slight miss is coming from" it will amaze you how much different programs on your chip or different CPS's (blue vs. black vs. grey) will change the rotational velocity of different cylinders. Overall love my AE...... and my buddies love it too. Been fed alot of free lunch plugging that thing into trucks.
