Years ago, I installed cab lights on my V-10 F-250 and I helped Brandon do his. The key to doing cab lights is to measure "several" times, did I mention "several times"?! Then set the lights on your sharpie-marks before drilling. Grab a ladder, set it in front of your truck, climb up and do a stare and compare, this will make you feel better about drilling into a perfectly good roof! Some folks don't use sealant but I recommend clear RTV or silicone, piece of mind is worth it.

Ditto on all of that. I used the sealant, no leaks. I stared at mine and my neighbors '06 F350 with factory installed clearance lights, about 100 times before we drilled one hole.
hahahaha, I finally installed my cab lights. In the dark and in the rain. Alright, drizzle. Measured twice, one just because and the second as I drilled. Now I need to order the 04-07 mirrors and purchase the big rig side lights from Recon, and not use the blinker portion. These Amber LED lights look sweet on a black truck in the dark.
