i finally found a set of 4 wheels ive been looking for. i went to the junkyard yesterday and looked all around for just a spare. well i found an explorer that had 1 good wheel and tire on it so i asked bout. someone had already bought it and was coming to get it today. well i went back to my girlfriend and friend who both came with me and i told them and i was mad. well i looked to my right and i see another explore with some of those ranger bullet whole wheels on it. they were 15 in. with p235/ 75 r 15 tires all 4 wheels and tires are good. asked the guy for a price he said 50 a piece for wheel and tire. well my dad knows the owner and is gonna try to talk him down from 200 for a set of 4 or 125 or 150. IM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!! but good deal?????? i think so
IIRC Rangers have a 5 X 4 1/2 bolt pattern and won't work.
Stosh,His truck has the 5 x 4 1/2 bolt pattern. He posted a thread about it before, and we all helped him out with it.He measured the lugs, and it came out to the ranger bolt pattern.Remember?
Too busy thinking about my new-to-me Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I saw a set of those same rims in the junk yard yesterday. $16 each out the gate.
Oh ok I see.
I don't understand why,but J-Yards jack the prices up when a set of tires is included with the wheels. The junkyard I usually go to always takes the tires off all the rims and sells them separately.I got my wheels out of the back of an 80's Econoline, and paid 10.60 each for them. Then I had a buddy who had the 4 31's,and he sold them to me for 50 bucks.I think I got one hell of a deal.90 bucks, wheels and tires, all the way around.
yeh i hate how they jack the prices up alot. but oh well im going by today to make sure they are still there my dad hasnt talked to the owner bout the price yet. supposed to today.
