Lift Pump Recommendations

Hey everyone, I have determined that my fuel pump is intermitantly failing... I am looking to replace it with something half decent (not that the stock one hasn't lasted 7 years)... I am going to be doing injectors and turbo shortly down the road, and already have a DP-Tuner in it (which of course I will get re-programmed after turbo and injector upgrade).
Can someone please recommend a good option, I am not looking for the best of the best, but something middle of the road. I am also looking for the best place in Canada to purchase it... (getting stuff across the border can be a hastle sometimes...)

Recommendations???

I replaced stock fuel pump with a Walbro GSL 392. Very straight forward install. LINK to my Photobucket with pic and install tips. Under $120.00 to my mail box from High Flow Fuel. Very satisfied with pump and this seller.

I have a Carter 4070 for sale, it looks ugly, but thats because it was hanging on the frame rail for a few years.

Is that enough flow? I realize that I am not going to burn 60gal per hour, but I think I want to maintain 60psi... Anyone have any other comments on this pump if I am going to do the mods I am talking about?

The Walbro holds 60+ psi at WOT. Mine is currently holding 74 PSI at idle with FPR shim.

May just be a sale for me... Sounds worth a try... (What mods do you have?) Do you think it will handle Stage 3 injectors?

In my opinion you will need a regulated return and 3/8 inch fuel lines to adequately feed stage 3's.

I called our local supplier and they say that Walbro lists that pump as Gas only...

It is a high volume/low pressure pump used to supply the high-pressure pump.

I installed this pump after reading this LINK. I wouldn't use this pump for in-tank application though.

It is a high flow, high pressure pump. Scroll down on this LINK to see specs.

Cool. How long have you been running it? Does my truck have a "Regulated Return" system? (Isn't that the pressure relief valve that is built into the return line from the filter bowl?)

I have only been running it since July. A regulated return is an aftermarket product. If you do a search there will be plenty of posts.

EDIT : I googled "Walbro GSL 392" and found some info regarding it's use with diesel.
