The DiabloSport Predator I had wanted me to use super, and not just any super, it had to be one of 5 brands. Got too be a real PITA especially when traveling, almost ran out of gas a couple of times. Super had to be Sunoco, BP, Exxon/Mobil, and Texaco. The one time I did fill up with another brand, I paid for it with a lot off knocking and sputtering. also the speedo was off by 15 mph, had me going way too fast.
i have a diablosport in my 2005 f250 5.4 and i love it. you can choose which octane tune you want. I run super and it made a BIG difference. I for one do not like superchips. my father has one in his dodge 2500 hemi, and you need an update for just about everything you to do. go with the diablo. and i have never had problems running different brands of gas
X2 for Diablosport Predator on my 3v 5.4L V8. Had it about ten months and I also love it - I use the 91 octane performance tune (can't find much for 93 octane in Canada but 90 to 92 is pretty standard). You can always use the 87 octane tune if you want to keep running regular - I keep the programmer handy in case I am in an area that does not have premium and then I can switch it back - this usually occurs when I am hunting.
It does add power and if you keep the go pedal under control you will experience a little better fuel mileage. It also improves the shift points and has a large number of adjustable parameters - including tire size adjustment which I required when I went from a 31" tire to a 33" tire on the truck.
