My name is Luke and I am in Williston ND. I am currently begining the restoration of a 1962 Unibody. still debating building the 292 up and back it with a t5 or go with a 302 and a t6 to put the horsy's on the ground.

If you ever are looking to dump your Y block stuff let me know. I rather have the music and torque of a Y.

Thumbs up

My name is Jody, I live west of Mandan.
I work as a diesel mechanic, but love to weld, and build stuff.
My daily driver is a primer purple 68 F100 with a 300 six.
I also drive a 70 Sport custom 4by with a 6.9 diesel.
When I need to pull something (sometimes Full Pull inc.'s sled) I get out my 78 F250 SC with a big block.
It's good to see so many people responding!

I had a 61 uni that I put a 302 EFI and AOD trans in. It got around 24 mpg and drove great. It kinda depends on if youwant driveability or originality. You can pick up an 80 or 90 something LTD or Crown Vic for a song and get your drivetrain. A handy web site is fordfuelinjection.com if you want to do this kind of swap.

Thanks for all you are doing. I can relate, I was stationed at camp Warhorse for almost a year back in 03/04. It is cool how the army can get internet access, but not a toilet that you don't have to burn when it gets full. Take care and happy Veteran's Day.

Do you enter in the pulls much? I know one of the guys that helps run the sled. And I've entered the pulls a couple times. You should checkout the monthly chat/BS thread for ND. Seems like just me and Ryan pOst regularly in it, would be nice to get some more people in there.

I pulled in New Salem and Center this year, and Center last year. Next year I will be running a modified tractor. I think I'll still run the supercab at the some of the events that don't have the tractors, but I will need to depend on it to haul the tractor to and from the other events.

I just saw this post now. If you want, you can PM me and let me know who you were with, I was at FOB Speicher the same time you were at Warhorse.

They will probably all be very modified except for the F350. That one still looks brand new and has never seen snow.
