Built Ford Tough...

too bad my wallet isnt. Smoked a pretty good sized buck last night on my way home from work running about 45 mph. Truck took it like a champ. Only going to have to replace the front bumper, upper valance reinforcement and passenger side fog light. Thank god the painted upper valance survived! Didnt even feel it, just heard a thud! Didnt even make it to the insurance deductible! Kudos Ford

That extra 4 inches of tire and levelling kit you have probably made all the difference. Stock height and it would probably be in your radiator.

Agreed. If your deductible is $1000, put a South Texas Outfitters (or other brand) replacement bumper on there. Then you just hose it off; no time or money spent replacing front end parts.

Its a $500 deductible, so that grill guard is way out of the question right now. That 4 extra inches saved me from a lot of damage that is for sure

I thought it was dangerous to eat deer hit by vehicles due to the toxins that could be released upon impact?

No, but here in Oregon its illegal. Plus, I wouldn't just because the meat can get badly bruised.

illegal in Alabama...or at least where I live...I hit one in my Z71 (technically, it ran into the side of my truck). Nice 8-point...the guy behind me stopped and picked it up.

I think the reasoning is that you could go hunting off season then claim you hit it with your truck...just shot it to finish it off.

ok, we can get a claim ticket for it... and sometimes they can be killed very cleanly (like my gramps did a couple years back).

oh yeah, and it sucks that you smacked up your ford.
