Re-clutching a Trac-Lock
Has anyone here ever rebuilt their limited slip themselves? I just found out my 9" factory limited slip is just plain worn out now, was kinda loose when i got it though. I've been calling around the shops here and nobody rebuilds these, I've been told all you have to do is replace the clutches.
How hard is it? Do you have to dismantle the entire rear end or just drop the center and go at it?
Thanks,
Matt

The August, 2000 issue of 4-Wheel and Off-Road has an entire article dedicated to rebuilding Trac-Locs. I recommend you pick up an issue and check it out.
